International Association of Athletes Against Drugs is a non-profit making organization which was founded on May 31 1997. Assuming and sharing the objectives, the aims and philosophy of I.O.C (International Olympic Commitee) and of U.N.D.C.P. (United Nations) will be based on the following principles:
| 1.To promote and spread the ideals of the Olympic
movement. 2.To disseminate and defend sports as an ideal tor healthy way of life. 3.To present sports as a real and educational alternative to the world of drugs. 4.To promote through sports the value of peace, solidarity and cooperation among citizens of the world without discrimination according fo their religion, race, color, creed, gender and 1 or social position. |

5.To oppose the possible consumption of substances by
athletes, which are expressly prohibited by the appropriate sports committees, due fo the
influence that this kind of behavior generates in the youth. 6.To direct all efforts for use sports as a means of prevention against the consumption of drugs. 7.To globally present athletes as a model to imitate, representing a healthy way of Iiving. 8.To pay special attention and direct the Associations fundamental work towards children and young people, because they are more vulnerable to the influence of drugs and more inclined to be socially deprived. |
